•  leprosy separates
    families

A diagnosis of leprosy can lead to isolation,
as misplaced fear of the disease leads people to persecute
and reject even their own family.

  •  leprosyincreases
    poverty

Leprosy's impact on a person's health and social
standing often leads to a spiral of increasing poverty
    that's difficult to escape.

about leprosy

While the prospects for people affected by leprosy have vastly improved, leprosy remains a disease that destroys lives and blights communities.

Every 2
minutes

one person is diagnosed with leprosy

Leprosy
is curable!

Leprosy can be cured with multi-drug therapy (MDT), a combination of three antibiotics: rifampin, clofazimine and dapsone.

Early diagnosis
and treatment

Early signs of leprosy include spots on the skin that may be slightly red, darker or lighter than normal skin.
